- Topic: Payment for Adjunct Faculty work outside of contracts
Discussion: Kim and Jeff reported discussion from the College Council and Academic Branch Council, respectively. Both Councils support Adjunct Faculty contributions. In the College Council, Dr. Bowne stated the need for a deeper understanding of the issue. Jeff compiled a history of the Adjunct Council, including Dr. McCloud’s charge for a task force to form the Adjunct Council as part of shared governance.
Action: The Council will wait to see what happens with the discussions happening outside of Adjunct Council.
- Topic: Adjunct Faculty Orientation
Discussion: The Council discussed the purpose and scope of the proposed orientation.
Action: Council members who are interested in helping with the orientation will meet in a breakout session from the larger meeting next week to discuss and plan more details.
- Topic: Adjunct Faculty Ed Camp
Discussion: The Council briefly discussed this idea from the last meeting.
Action: Council members who are interested in helping with the Ed Camp will meet in a breakout session from the larger meeting next week to discuss and plan more details.
