1. Topic: Report from ABC Representative—Sally
Discussion: Did not receive Zoom meeting link for the meeting, but was able to submit minutes; Testing Service: Would like faculty to submit tests 2½ days before students will take tests; Working on consistent implementation of course transfers to other universities; Council received presentation from Sub Committee on copyrights on course materials; DEI will be creating an Office of Inclusion
Action: Next meeting Monday, November 7th
2. Topic: Report from College Council Representative—Kim
Discussion: Discussion around copyright and academic honesty issues; Continued discussion on HLC interim report
Action: Next meeting is Wednesday, November 16
3. Topic: Meeting with Dr. McCloud—Rebecca and Kim
Discussion: Regular monthly meeting (first Wednesday); His Top 3 concerns: Connection to Department / Understanding Resources / Understand Department Expectations; Department Chairs are the first point of contact for Adjunct; Discussed Adjunct course assignments: and compensation for working on class setup before contract; He was surprised at how late contracts occur – He indicated he will talk to Deans; He was unhappy that Adjunct names are associated in Catalog before they have contracts; Discussion that taking names off of classes in the catalog would not be helpful to students, however
Action: Next meeting is Wednesday, December 7
4. Topic: Adjunct Handbook Updates/Adjunct Orientation
Discussion: Chris, Jennifer, and Kim are working on their sections.
Action: Ongoing; Turn in time worked to Rebecca
5. Topic: Another Meet and Greet
Discussion: Future Meet and Greet will be in a room on campus; Faculty Development will pay for food; Mid-February would be a good time
Action: Details need to be finalized
6. Topic: Blog for Posting Adjunct Council Minutes on InfoHub
Discussion: Requested blog for posting Adjunct Council minutes is now available
Action: Rebecca will work on getting that set up and putting the link in InfoHub
7. The next meeting will be Monday, December 12 from 3:30-4:30 pm
