Essential Thyroid Cookbook

This Thursday, January 25, faculty member Lisa Markley will be discussing her book “The Essential Thyroid Cookbook: Over 100 Nourishing Recipes for Thriving with Hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s” with her coauthor Jill Grunewald. They will be demonstrating recipes from the book, and discussing nutrition. We’ll be covering the event and talking to the author about the importance of thyroid health and the inspiration behind the cookbook.

Flu Season

Have you caught the flu this season? We’ll be talking to the college’s nursing department to learn about the differences between the common cold and the flu, and what the campus is doing to help keep people healthy.

Star Wars review

Read Features Editor, Pete Loganbill’s take on Star Wars: The Last Jedi. He’ll be letting you know what he thinks of the movie, it’s relationship to the rest of the series and whether or not it’s worth seeing.

Track removal

Last spring, the college announced that it would be cutting its running programs and removing its track. We’ll be talking to the people behind the movement to save the college’s track and those involved in the sports that were cut.
