The purpose of the holidays is to bring people together, whether this occurs through family celebrations, the exchange of gifts, or free-will donations. This year, students, staff and faculty can nominate members of our community for JCCC Gives, until Nov. 7.
“JCCC Gives is Student Senate and Student Life’s way of giving back to the JCCC community during the Holiday Season,” Anne Turney, Director, Student Life & Leadership, said. “December can be a stressful time with classes and holidays. We provide this to help ease the burden of holiday expenses for those in our JCCC community.”
From Nov. 8 to Dec. 2, donors are invited to purchase gifts for any names they see on the Giving Tree in COM 309. Alternatively, anyone can donate money online or to Student Life in COM 100 until Dec. 16. These monetary donations will be used by the Student Senate to purchase gifts.
