IT Help Desk Level I

This position is responsible for hardware and software troubleshooting and support.

– Location: Bishop Miege High School – Roeland Park Ks
– Duration (Contract/Contract to Hire/Direct hire) Undetermined at this point: Might be permanent part time
– Pay rate: $13-15 an hour
– Hours per week: 25 hours

Essential Functions:
• Solve computer related problems, troubleshooting hardware and software issues
• In charge of generating helpdesk tickets in ticketing system and assigning the ticket resolution
• Inventory management and updates
• Phone and In-house application
• Building and setup of new employee computer systems including software operating systems, security updates and virus software
• Assist in monitoring networked computer equipment.
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the computer telephony interface environment
• Departmental moves
• Ability to gain knowledge and understanding of internal software

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft applications
• In-depth knowledge of Google Docs & applications
• In-depth knowledge of PC’s and operating systems
• Ability to gain knowledge and understanding of internal software
• Works well under pressure
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Able to build solid customer relationships
• Team player

Training and Experience:
• High school degree required and Bachelor’s degree desirable
• Working knowledge and experience with PC imaging
