Hiring Committee Training

Hiring committee orientation available online

Have you been asked to serve on a hiring committee? Are you a hiring supervisor or hiring committee chair inviting others to serve on a hiring committee? Hiring committee orientation training continues to be delivered online in Angel 24/7.
To access the training you must first enroll via MyJCCC using CRN 30138. Follow these steps to enroll, or view the MyJCCC enrollment instructions in a pdf file, or as a how-to video:
  • Log in to MyJCCC
  • Click on the EASI tab
  • Click on Student & Financial Aid
  • Click on Enrollment
  • Click on Add or Drop Classes
  • Choose “Staff Dev 2012-2013” as the term, then click Submit.
  • Scroll down the page to enter CRN 30138, then click Submit Changes.
     Within a few minutes, the course will be available to you in Angel. Log in to Angel here. Once you have logged in, the Course section will explain how the training is set up.
 This same enrollment process applies for all Staff development Courses.
Board policy states: As a prerequisite to serving on a campus hiring committee, an employee will be required to have completed a hiring committee orientation at least once within 12 months prior to the hiring committee assignment. Failure to complete the hiring committee orientation as required by this policy will disqualify the individual from participating on the hiring committee assignment.
