Thum attends Business Communicators Summit

In February, Gretchen Thum, associate professor of Journalism, attended the annual Business Communicators Summit at the KU Edwards campus.  This meeting is sponsored by the KC chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators.  Thum brought several JCCC Journalism students from her Public Relations and Advertising classes. Thum reports that the summit included a full day of workshops and presentations by public relations, social media, and marketing professionals about new trends in the industry today.  These events are important to her goal of making sure our JCCC curriculum stays current with what is happening in the real world of strategic communications.
