Faculty Senate Announcement

At its regular meeting the Faculty Senate adopted the following motion: that the Faculty Senate supports the Educational Affairs Committee in its statement that any course prerequisites added without the procedural practices in place, including the formal review and approval by division curriculum committees and the Educational Affairs Committee, be immediately removed from the course catalogue and the spring 2014 course schedule.

In the discussion related to this motion, senators noted that no one in the current administration had been involved in the decision to add the reading prerequisite and expressed the hope that the administration and the faculty could work collegially together to remove it.
