The Faculty Senate is also seeking nominations for one open seat for an ALTERNATE at-large senator from the full-time and adjunct faculty members for the term August 2017 to May 2020.
Qualifications
The requirements to serve as a senator are as follows:
Senators with full-time status must be non-probationary.
Senators with adjunct status must have completed three years of teaching at JCCC and have reached the associate professor rank.
Duties
Assume the duties of any of the six at-large senators who are unable to attend one or more meetings.
NOTE: The alternate at-large senator will not automatically fill a vacant at-large seat should one suddenly become open.
Terms
Alternate at-large senators will serve a three-year term with a maximum of two consecutive terms as an alternate, a regular senator, or both. Any consecutive term of service for six years must be followed by three years of ineligibility for election to the Senate.
You may self-nominate or nominate one or more of your colleagues by e-mailing the names and job titles of nominees to the Faculty Senate Elections Committee at FSElections@jccc.edu by 5 p.m., Friday, April 7. If nominating an alternate, please indicate clearly ALTERNATE in your e-mail subject line.
