Drafting a Window

When drafting a double-hung window in an interior elevation, make sure the rails and stiles cross correctly. A double-hung window in an exterior elevation looks different, and a common mistake is to draw its exterior view in an interior elevation. Below is what a double-hung window looks like from the inside of a house.

This drawing, and instructions on drawing other window types,  can be found in my book, Architectural Drafting for Interior Designers.
