Egyptian Hieroglyphs (under Foreign Language)

Instructor: Stacy Davidson

This session on Egyptian hieroglyphs is an introduction to the language of the ancient Egyptians. You’ll learn the Egyptian alphabet and will be able to write your name in hieroglyphs by the end of the session. The instructor has a graduate degree in Egyptology and is committed to teaching ancient languages in a fun and interactive way.

 

Egyptology: A Virtual Tour (under Travel)

Instructor: Stacy Davidson

Europe has been in love with ancient Egypt since the time of Napoléon; this legacy can be seen in the major museums, monuments and destinations of London, Paris and Berlin. This virtual tour is being presented by an Egyptologist who is planning to lead an international tour to many of the places highlighted today.

 

 

Ancient Greek (under Foreign Language)

Instructor: Stacy Davidson

3 – 3:45 p.m.

In this session, participants will learn the alphabet of the ancient Greeks and the influence of the Greek language on science, mathematics and medicine. If you like to study word origins, ancient languages, the classics, history, philosophy or literature, this is the workshop for you. The instructor has studied several ancient languages, including Latin, Greek, Hebrew and Egyptian hieroglyphs.
