Urban Wildlife Project (Deb Williams)

As urbanization continues to expand across the globe, urban wildlife research provides critical data for urban planners and conservation biologists to create livable cities for both humans and wildlife. When natural habitats are disturbed, fragmented, or destroyed, wildlife populations attempt to find ways to adapt and persist within the constraints posed by human altered/built environments. Students will use trail cameras to census wildlife populations and diversity in urban Johnson County residences and selected natural settings.
