The Nomad 883 Pro uses a milling bit to cut and route materials of all kinds. It will engrave or cut through wood, soft metals, plastics, foam, wax and others. You will can design or import an SVG for two dimensional cuts or import an STL file for full 3D cutting (up to 3″x5″x1.5″). If you’re familiar with CAM software, you can also import gcode toolpaths directly.
Maximum Material Size=8″ x 8″ x 3″
Cutting depth is dependent on the bit size chosen, but is generally about 1″. We offer ball and flat bits in 1/8″, 1/16″, and 1/32″ widths and 60 and 90 V-Cutters.
Possible materials to cut include:
- wood, wood composites and synthetics
- plastics (ABS, Acrylic, PVC, HDPE)
- circuit boards
- aluminum, copper, bronze
