I enjoy taxonomies like this, and hope to engage a class in examining archetypes, stereotypes and the like and exploring why they, exist, what they mean, their use and shortcomings. Matt Groening in School is Hell may have done it best. (this is fair use, and someone else posted it).
College Humor took a stab at it, and while mostly fails, they may strike a chord with students. I’dlike to see my classes come up with their own 5 types of profs, but for frosh, I’m probably the first college prof most have had.
