I follow Tom Nichols. He’s a bit conservative and crotchety, and his obsession with people in sandals amuses me, but he’s sharp as hell, and not afraid to state his mind. He went to Harvard, which isn’t a bad school (they call it the KU of the east), and taught as the Naval War College. More importantly he has studied and has been logically consistent. I respect his opinion and trust his use of facts even when I disagree with him, (which is not rare).
The young person replying to his curmudgeonly grammatic* pedantry is spot on.
