If you’ve ever wished to play a board game with friends and really get into it, then I have a perfect suggestion for you! At Johnson County Community College, the Dungeons & Dragons <\/span>(D&D) Club is the perfect place for students to come together, have fun, and create exciting <\/span>adventures. Whether you\u2019re a pro or someone who\u2019s never played before, the club is open to all <\/span>skill levels and offers a friendly, laid-back environment to enjoy the game.<\/span><\/p>\n

The D&D Club at JCCC isn\u2019t just about rolling dice\u2014it\u2019s about building friendships and creating <\/span>stories. The club meets every Monday from 5:15 p.m to 7 p.m. in COM 155. It\u2019s a space for students to meet up, play D&D, and enjoy the fun of being part of a group that shares a love for <\/span>fantasy and storytelling.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe club is really where people are able to make new friends and be themselves,\u201d\u00a0 Sarah Moratte, one of the club members, said. \u201cWhether you’re new or someone who\u2019s been playing the game for years, I\u2019d say everyone\u2019s welcome. It\u2019s a great way to try <\/span>something new and meet people.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

If you\u2019ve never played D&D before, don\u2019t worry. The club hosts events where beginners can <\/span>jump in and learn the game in a fun, relaxed setting. You don\u2019t need to know all the rules to get <\/span>started\u2014just come and have a good time. But the fun doesn\u2019t stop there. The club also runs <\/span>campaigns where members dive into different worlds, build characters, and go on wild <\/span>adventures. It\u2019s a chance to get creative and share in the storytelling with others. This is really <\/span>more than just a game. The D&D Club isn\u2019t just about playing; it\u2019s also about building skills and <\/span>making lasting friendships.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Playing D&D helps students learn how to work as a team, solve problems together, and think creatively. It\u2019s also a great way to meet new people and connect <\/span>with others who share your interests.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve made so many friends through the club,\u201d One D&D member said. \u201cIt\u2019s awesome to find people who are into the same things and just have fun <\/span>together.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Joining the D&D Club at JCCC is easy. Just visit the Center for Student Involvement in GEB 117 to learn more about the club and other student organizations on campus. You can also use the <\/span>Get Involved @ JCCC platform to sign up, stay updated on events, and contact club leaders.<\/span><\/p>\n

And at the end of the day, just show up to an event on any Monday from 5:15 p.m. to 7 p.m. in COM 155.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
