This week, the Johnson County Community College student lounge was abuzz with excitement as students gathered for a FIFA 25 tournament hosted by Student Life. The event drew gaming enthusiasts from across campus and offered a chance to compete in one of the most popular soccer video games on the market.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Joshua Kwase, a student life Ambassador, helped facilitate the tournament..\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cComing into this semester, the manager of the Student Lounge reminded us to try a few more tournaments,\u2019\u2019 Kwase said. \u201cWe had a pool tournament a few weeks ago, a Mario Kart tournament last month, and FIFA felt like a natural next step. A lot of students around here already play it.\u2019\u2019\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Kwase explained that the goal was to build community and offer more engaging activities on campus.<\/span><\/p>\n

The H-Team, a group of students involved in student life leadership, organized the tournament.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Kwase supported the event by handling logistics, such as scanning attendees and tracking participation. Other team members contributed creatively, including designing promotional materials.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For Kwase, the highlight of the tournament was level gameplay.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe most exciting part is seeing some of the best players put together intense and competitive matches,\u2019\u2019 Kwase said. \u201cIt\u2019s fun to see how people push themselves and put on a show.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

With the success of this tournament, Student Life is expected to continue bringing similar events to JCCC campus in the future.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
