The Student Environmental Alliance (SEA) is one of many clubs we have on campus. They meet on the first and third Friday of every month, from 2:30-4 p.m., in SCI 122. At each meeting, professors Lani Witters and Daniel Cryer teach students about environmental issues, and lead discussions with students.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe also partner with local environmental organizations and do hands-on work with them,\u201d Cryer said. \u201cWe try to create a space on campus where students can have conversations about environmental issues they\u2019re concerned about, environmental career tracks, and really give students a space to kind of define the club the way that they want.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

They also do fun events and scavenger hunts, like the iNaturalist event that is still going on.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If you\u2019re a student who enjoys nature, has a concern about the environment, or wants a career in environmental science, SEA may be right for you. Their next meeting will be on May 2, so stop by to meet professors Witters and Cryer.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
