This past Wednesday, I went to JCCC\u2019s college expo and world mythology event. There were around fifty tables featuring various colleges like Kansas State, Emporia, MNU, and many more as well as JCCC clubs and other organizations.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Here, I picked up some excellent swag including a University of St. Mary hand sanitizer and a JCCC lip balm.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There was a world mythology table, where students in costume directed expo-goers to their event in the CoLab. I went in to listen to a costumed student tell the story of Wu-Kong, a Chinese mythological figure who was known for being seven times immortal. While listening, a knight invited me to slay an excellently costumed red dragon and consume its young (a treasure chest filled with candy stuffed Easter eggs).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The creativity at this exhibit was incredible. Other tables displayed Day of the Dead shrines, Monster High mythology, and more.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Overall, I had an amazing time at the college expo and world mythology event, and I\u2019d encourage any students looking for a fun way to learn about transfer opportunities to attend next year\u2019s festivities.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
