The Johnson County Community College theatre program is performing their first play of the fall semester, \u2018The Moors\u2019 by Jen Silverstein. A story about two sisters and a dog living on the English moors whose lives get thrown onto a dangerous path with the arrival of a hapless governess and a moorhen.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m so excited! This is my favorite show I\u2019ve ever been in,\u201d Erin Oyster, who plays the governess Emillie, said.<\/p>\n

Students involved have been working on this play for months, with auditions being held back in May 2025.<\/p>\n

\u201cPre-production started around April. From April to September, it\u2019s been a longer process than some of our other shows,\u201d Drama Gurd Gregory Jackson, who is in charge of putting together historical context, said.<\/p>\n
