October always finds a way to sneak up on you\u2013one moment it’s sunshine and sunglasses, the next it\u2019s sweaters and cool, crisp air. Suddenly everything smells like fall\u2013cinnamon and clove\u2013and, honestly, nothing says fall quite like Halloween.<\/p>\n

JCCC\u2019s Student Senate and the Center for Student Involvement is brewing up something special this year: Trick or Treat for Kids!<\/i> It\u2019s happening Oct. 23, 5-7 p.m. in COM 155, and trust me\u2013this is not your average candy haul. Picture a not-so-scary Halloween evening filled with laughter, creative crafts, sweet treats, and that nostalgic joy that makes you feel like a kid again. This event is for families, students, and anyone who wants to relive that childhood magic. The campus transforms into a mini Halloween wonderland.<\/p>\n

Tony Wong, the Vice President of the Student Senate, shares his behind-the-scenes experience.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s something that we do every year at JCCC,\u201d Wong said. \u201cAll the things that go into [Trick or Treat for Kids]\u2013the decorations, themes, brainstorming\u2013we work together to make these things happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s one of those events that just makes you smile, seeing kids in their costumes and parents snapping pictures.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I\u2019m most looking forward to is seeing the kids with their smiling faces\u2013so happy,\u201d Wong said.<\/p>\n

The event aims to provide a welcoming and safe space for families to enjoy the season together.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s open to the community,\u201d Wong said. \u201cWe have a safe, fun environment for families to bring their children to the evening.\u201d<\/p>\n

Like many events JCCC holds, we strive for a community you can count on. It’s about joy, laughter, and giving families a safe space to celebrate.<\/p>\n
