Bringing you news with amazing pictures, a new podcast, and video coverage, I am happy to reintroduce you to JCCC\u2019s student media site, The Messenger, formerly known as the Campus Ledger. We are bringing you The Messenger to be that same hub of information with pieces from every desk: news, opinion, life, and sports.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

My name is Elizabeth Taylor, the new editor-in-chief, and I am so incredibly thrilled to have the opportunity to bring you this website. As Editor In Chief, I get to oversee a wonderful staff and make sure things are running smoothly.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

One of my biggest goals with The Messenger is to make it really accessible to the student body here. Whether it\u2019s through marketing it around campus or on social media, I want everyone to know that we are here and that we are back to serve the community. If something is happening on campus or around KC, I want it to be found on The Messenger.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We have been working the past couple of months on hiring a new editorial board full of desk editors, creating a new website from scratch, and, with the help of our advisor, Mike Humphrey, we have been able to jumpstart this project for the JCCC students, faculty, and surrounding community. Along with a brand new website, we have all new social media too. Right now, we are on <\/span>Instagram<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>X<\/span><\/a>, and <\/span>YouTube<\/span><\/a>, likely expanding in the future as we figure out what works best for our audience.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As we begin this new venture and grow our website, we would love YOUR help in accomplishing that. We are always looking for new people who want to try something new, who like to write, take photos, or videos, or just students who would like to get involved here at JCCC. If you have any interest, we are currently hiring reporters and support staff in all areas, so please fill out this form <\/span>here<\/b><\/a>. We are always on the hunt for stories around our community, so if you have any tips, let us know by emailing <\/span>themessengerjccc@gmail.com<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n
