This week is National Voter Education Week and the Crush the Vote team needs help from faculty in spreading the word to students about the Last Day to Register to Vote! We’re asking faculty to copy and paste the following blurb into a Canvas announcement, then let us know you participated via this Google form by October 12. All faculty that participate will be entered to win small prize – five faculty will win! All participants will also be recognized publicly on Infohub as aiding in the Crush the Vote mission to increase voter participation on campus.

Are you on pace to be vote ready for the November 2nd election? The last day to register to vote in Kansas is October 12! To check your registration status and get registered, visit ksvotes.org.
After you’re registered, here are some tips to get vote ready:
- Find your sample ballot: You can find this at ksvotes.org unless you are in Douglas or Johnson county (or Missouri).
- Research the candidates: Look at voter guides, visit your local paper’s website, and/or check out candidate websites.
- Here are some helpful resources: jocoelection.org/current-candidates, votejoco.com/candidates, Vote411.org, KSballot.org, ballotready.org, rockthevote.org
- Make a voting plan!
- KS: Find where you can vote here. Don’t forget to bring your photo ID! To request a mail-in your ballot, submit your application by 10/26.
- MO: Find your polling location and learn more about the polls here. Don’t forget your photo ID!
Not eligible to vote? You can still participate in the election process by encouraging your peers to get involved or by volunteering for a local campaign.
