The Nelson-Atkins Museum is hosting a special pre-conference workshop for educators on Thursday afternoon October 24 from 1-4pm, $25, open to non-members as well as KAEA and MAEA members. They have Dr. Jay P. Greene from the University of Arkansas as a featured speaker, and he will be presenting his research and experiences focused on a recent study completed with school groups who visited the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. We have panelists and participants from both sides of the state line joining us for a series of breakout sessions with topics ranging from teacher advisory boards, community collaborations, technology, museum curriculum for school groups, and program evaluation. Register with the Nelson-Atkins at 816-751-1ART or online at http://tinyurl.com/MuseumEducators2013
