About Me

I am a Professor of Philosophy and Chair of the Department of Philosophy and Religion at Johnson County Community College. I received my Ph.D. in Philosophy at the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1996 and have been teaching at Johnson County Community College since 1997. I teach Introduction to Philosophy, Ethics, Asian Philosophy and Ancient Philosophy, and my main interests are Philosophy of Mind and Language,  Comparative Philosophy and Ethical Issues in Parenting. I am the author of Paradoxes of Liberalism and Parental Authority.
