Proposals are due soon for KAEA fall conference!
Seattle-based artist Preston Singletary is our keynote speaker, and his band Khu’eex’ will play a concert Thursday night in the Polsky Theatre adjacent to the Nerman.
Registration opens August 1, concert tickets for the general public go on sale August 6.

FREE Teacher Workshop: Art Connects with Science Aug. 29, 4:30-8PM
Join Karen Gerety Folk, Curator of Education, and learn about Wendell Castle – Progression and Michael Rees – Pneumatopia exhibitions in our 1st floor galleries and create an illuminated functional artwork. LIMITED SPACE – enroll today!
4:30-5:30 p.m. Explore interdisciplinary connections and design your own miniature furniture sculpture with foam core and an LED component. No previous art experience is necessary.
5:30-6:45 p.m. Continue working in the classroom, we will transition to our drop-in art studio activity from 5:45-6:45 p.m. All ages welcome!
6:00-7 p.m. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres and refreshments in the Museum Atrium, cash bar.
7:00-8 p.m. Lecture in Hudson Auditorium by KCAI alum Michael Rees.

2018 KC Metro Arts Integration Symposium
JCCC is hosting an unforgettable 2018 summer conference for K-12 educators interested in learning arts integration strategies from Kennedy Center teaching artists Melanie Rick, Randy Barron and Sean Layne.
