Make an architectural terrain model with free programs SketchUp and Autodesk 1234D Make. The SketchUp Add Terrain Skirt and STL extensions (plugins) are used.
Download/install the STL plugin, search the Thingiverse for an stl file, import it into SketchUp and edit it.

First class at JCCC in personal 3D printing starts in March 2015! We’ll do solid modeling, reality capture modeling (making a model from photographs), slice a model up into cutting patterns, edit stl files, and print them up!
