JCCC’s Men’s basketball team will be sharing the court with their rival, KCKCC on Feb. 8th at home. Both team’s stats are very comparable, with JCCC having an average score of 79.0 points per game and KCKCC at 81.3 points per game. The Blue Devils are also barely leading the Cavs in 3pt percentage, but the Cavs have an overall better season record. All these numbers and stats are sure to make a very interesting game this coming Wednesday. What can we expect to see from our Cavs, and who should we look out for on the court?
Sophomore guard Steven Samuels (#3) has been having an outstanding season thus far, spending an average of 28.1 minutes on the court per game. His free throw (FT) completion percentage sits at 83.3, and has been granting the team an average of 11.5 points per game. A comparable player for KCKCC’s Blue Devils is sophomore guard Camron Williford, who also spends about half the game on the court and has a FT completion percentage of 11.8.
We can anticipate both teams putting up quite a fight against one another, and our top players giving it their all. With a win, the Cavs would bump their current win streak from six to seven, and would be 15-1 at home.
