This Sunday, our Kansas City Chiefs will face off against the Philadelphia Eagles at the 59th Super Bowl in New Orleans. Many locals are making the pilgrimage to Louisiana for the game, however for those celebrating at home, here are some local deals and events to celebrate for the big game day.
Where to celebrate:
All this week, Union Station will be providing a number of photo ops, with Saturday even having face painting and Kona Ice. The restaurants Harvey’s, Pierpont’s, Rocky Mountain Chocolate, and Parisi will also have Chiefs themed food and snacks available to guests.
On gameday, Power and Light is offering a block party to celebrate and watch the game. The event will have many photo opportunities and DJ’s on every stage from 11am all the way to the game. Tickets are required to enter and all guests must be 18+.
Paint the town red
The Kauffman Center, WW1 Memorial, and Country Club Plaza will also all be illuminated red and adorn with Chiefs flags in celebration, providing fantastic picture backdrops for fans hoping to show KC pride.
