Names of Presidential Finalist Candidates Announced

On Monday, Feb. 10 the Johnson County Community College Presidential Search Committee announced the three final candidates that are competing for the role as the newest JCCC president. 

The three finalists are: 

  • Dr. Feleccia Moore-Davis will speak on Monday, Feb. 17 
  • Dr. Tony Miksa will speak on Wednesday, Feb. 19
  • Dr. Curt Oldfield will speak on Friday, Feb. 21

Students will have the opportunity to meet all three candidates during the separate student forums that will take place in the CoLab starting at noon and lasting approximately 45 minutes.

From February 3:

Three JCCC presidential finalist candidates will meet with students in forums located in the CoLab starting on Monday, Feb. 17. According to information from the presidential search website, candidates should be announced on Feb. 10. 

The schedule for student forums is as follows:

  • Monday, Feb. 17
  • Wednesday, Feb. 19
  • Friday, Feb. 21

All meetings will start at noon and will last approximately 45 minutes. 

“As part of the Presidential search process, Johnson County Community College (JCCC) always holds student-only forums, so our students have a chance to interact with the candidates in a way that is focused and honors the unique relationship a College president has with the student body,” said Melody Rayl, Chair of the JCCC Board of Trustees and Presidential Search Committee Chair.

For students that cannot make the student forum, there will also be open forums as follows:

9-10 a.m.
Open Forum – open to all

  • Feb. 17 – Polsky Theatre, Midwest Trust Center
  • Feb. 19 – Polsky Theatre, Midwest Trust Center
  • Feb. 21 – Craig Community Auditorium (GEB 233)

3-4 p.m.
Open Forum – open to all

  • Feb. 17 – Polsky Theatre, Midwest Trust Center
  • Feb. 19 – Polsky Theatre, Midwest Trust Center
  • Feb. 21 – Craig Community Auditorium (GEB 233)
