Industrial Technology Career Fair Set for Tuesday
Are you an Industrial Technology student looking for job opportunities or insight into your desired career? There will be a career fair on Tuesday, March 11 from 3 – 5 p.m. for all industrial technology students, hosted by the Career Development Center, when local businesses gather at the Hugh L. Libby Career and Technical Education Center.
If you are studying Automation Engineering, Automotive, Electrical, Electronics, HVAC, Metal Fabrication, Welding, or Plumbing Technology, this event is for you. Make sure to bring your ID and multiple copies of your updated resumes to hand out to employers. Dress for success in business attire. Free refreshments will be provided. Mental Health Services Are Always a Call Away
If you are feeling overwhelmed, stressed, burned out, have trouble thoughts, and/or need someone to talk to, JCCC, the AllHealth One helpline, and the National Suicide Hotline are here for you.
- The Johnson County Community College Crisis Counseling Office is open Mon-Wed from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m., Thu from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., and Fri from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. You can make an in-person or virtual appointment by calling 913-469-3809 ext. 3560. If it is a crisis and you cannot wait for an appointment, you can go directly to the second floor of the Student Center.

- If you need help when the office is closed, you can call the AllHealth One helpline at 1-866-329-4148. If it is a crisis, call or text the National Suicide Hotline by dialing 988. Both numbers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Bingo and Board Game Friday Social
As Spring Break nears, students are invited to take a little break and have some fun at the Student Lounge for a Bingo and Board Game Friday Social. The event takes place on Friday, March 14 from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. in the Student Lounge (GEB 154).
This event gets students to engage in conversation with new people and some friendly competition. Participants also have the opportunity to compete for $10 in CAV Cash, so make sure you practice your bingo skills. For those who may get a little hungry while competing, don’t fret, there will be free snacks and drinks.
Come hang out this Friday in the Student Lounge, and get your game on.
