Kansas City Prepares For 2025 Big 12 Championship 

The 2025 Phillips 66 Big 12 Men’s Basketball Championship starts today at the T-Mobile Center. Tickets are available for the event, which runs until March 15. This is Kansas City’s 24th year holding the basketball championship and for the 2025 game, fans can expect an unforgettable festival.

Beyond the action on the court, the excitement spills into the core of the city. Right across from the T-Mobile Center, the Kansas City Power & Light District will host the Miller Lite Fan Fest, offering free entry to an all-day basketball celebration experience. Fans can enjoy live entertainment, daily spirit rallies, giveaways and prizes, interactive games, and, most importantly, live streaming of the tournament on the big screen. 

And the party does not stop there, because on March 15, following the championship game, basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal will be bringing the energy to an all time high at the post-game party at the district center.

There’s Another KC Basketball Tournament Tradition

There are two college basketball tournaments that are mainstays in Kansas City. The most notable one is the Big 12 tournament, which is played at T-Mobile Center and has been a great tradition. But deeper into the tournament, the tickets can be pricey and hard to get.

If you’re looking to catch some good college basketball games where tickets are cheap and the basketball is still great, you should look into the NAIA National tournament. It is played in Kansas City at the Municipal Auditorium. It will be held from March 20 25. Games played in Kansas City being with the round of 16 and go all the way to the National Championship.

This tournament has been going on since 1937, the longest-running event in college basketball.
