Spring Break From Home
Getting up from the couch can feel like an impossible task, not to mention having to leave the house. With spring break right around the corner, here are some tips and tricks to not having to leave your home without experiencing major spring break FOMO (the fear of missing out).
Avoiding social media is the best way not to experience extreme jealousy, but let’s be honest with ourselves, we are probably won’t do that. So the next best option is having a photoshoot in your backyard. What a good way to make those people posting about their trip in the Caribbean jealous by showing that you can slay an Instagram post without having to rely on posing with a dolphin for likes.
A popular spring break tradition is spending thousands on an all-inclusive, just to end up drinking twelve mediocre pina coladas in one night to get enough bang for your buck. A much better and more affordable option is making virgin cocktails at home. Being your own bartender is a form of self-care by putting time and effort into the perfect drink for you. 101Cookbooks put out a great list of virgin cocktails to end your night with, from refreshers to citrusy tonics.
The best part about staying home on spring break is that there is finally time to catch up on all your favorite TV shows. A show that has been on everyone’s tongue in the past month is The White Lotus. Season three just recently premiered on Max, and the plot is about people who stay at a resort and things go wrong. What a perfect cure for having FOMO from all your friends staying at resorts this break.

Spring Break In The United States
With Spring Break right around the corner, many people are going to have some last minute travel vacations in mind. Here is my list of three states to go to as a college student who’s gone to all of them:
New York: Oh, what’s not to love? Broadway, architecture, street venders, street venders who wanna steal your money, the Statue of Liberty, and the crazy guy who told you that France wants to steal the Statue of iberty. Truly a textbook answer for what a spring vacation truly should be. No, but seriously NY is an amazing destination, especially with a group of friends. There’s no feeling quite like being lost in the streets of NYC half terrified and half amazed because of where you’ve ended up.
Florida: I think Florida is everything you’d want from a Spring Break vacation in the states and more. Nothing feels better than a nice relaxing sun tanning day seven yards away from an alligator.
Colorado: The mountains are probably the most underrated on this list. It’s such a nice getaway in the most beautiful state in the land. From a totally unbiased perspective, everyone should go to Colorado.
