The Student Environmental Alliance (SEA) is one of many clubs we have on campus. They meet on the first and third Friday of every month, from 2:30-4 p.m., in SCI 122. At each meeting, professors Lani Witters and Daniel Cryer teach students about environmental issues, and lead discussions with students.
“We also partner with local environmental organizations and do hands-on work with them,” Cryer said. “We try to create a space on campus where students can have conversations about environmental issues they’re concerned about, environmental career tracks, and really give students a space to kind of define the club the way that they want.”
They also do fun events and scavenger hunts, like the iNaturalist event that is still going on.
If you’re a student who enjoys nature, has a concern about the environment, or wants a career in environmental science, SEA may be right for you. Their next meeting will be on May 2, so stop by to meet professors Witters and Cryer.
