The Student Basic Needs Center (SBNC) is inviting you to share your story at the Student Voices Open Mic Night on Oct. 17 in the Craig Auditorium, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.. Tell your story on the mic through poetry or storytelling. Everyone is welcome, and drinks are provided.

Hosted by SBNC, their mission is to provide students with the information and resources needed to complete their goals at JCCC, even through their hardships.

“We all struggle with some kind of problems…We as SBNC want to know how we can help students in different ways,” Stefan Jankovic, an ambassador for the SBNC, said.

The Student Basic Needs Center is open from 9 a.m. to 5p.m., Monday through Friday. Sign up to receive messages by texting the word Pantry to 21000, and you will be notified about fresh produce, prepared meals, food close to the expiration date, overstocked items, and changes to the hours of operation.
