The results are in. Students used their voices in the satisfaction surveys and had good things to say about JCCC campus and staff. The survey was administered in the spring of 2025 and JCCC received 591 responses. The purpose of the survey is to find out if added initiatives are yielding the desired results for student priorities and satisfaction as well as “identify institutional challenges and areas for improvement.” The survey uses twelve focus areas which have scores that have exceeded other comparisons and national averages. The Ruffalo Noel Levitz Student Satisfaction Inventory has been used since spring of 2000 to track student satisfaction.

The survey shows the college’s challenges as well. While there are many good things that come out of the survey there were still a few things students were dissatisfied with. These challenges include;
- Computers and/or Wi-Fi are adequate and accessible.
- I am able to register for classes I need with few conflicts.
- The quality of instruction I receive in most of my classes is excellent.
- Program requirements are clear and reasonable.
- Classes are scheduled at times that are convenient for me.
- Faculty provide timely feedback about student progress in a course.
- My academic advisor is knowledgeable about my program requirements.
- This school does whatever it can to help me reach my educational goals.
- Faculty are understanding of students’ unique life circumstances.
- Adequate financial aid is available for most students.
- My academic advisor is knowledgeable about the transfer requirements of other schools.
These challenges were listed as the least satisfactory for students but are important for the school. They are listed in order of importance, the first being the most important. The good outweighs the bad in the survey and the numbers continue to surpass the national averages.
