3/6/2026: Men’s Basketball Falls to Fort Scott in 2026 NJCAA Division 2 Plains District Tournament Semifinals
Today, the men’s basketball team faced a tragic loss in their first game of the postseason. This season marked the first time the JCCC men’s basketball team has gone undefeated in program history.
At the end of the first half, the Cavaliers led with Fort Scott trailing by just two points. Fort Scott was able to quickly surpass them, with Makeen Hastings leading the charge. Hastings closed the second half with 18 points and one assist, 26 points total.
Joey Robinson led JCCC with 14 points and an impressive 12 rebounds, but the Cavs were unfortunately unable to pull through and eventually lost 61-73.
But that does not mean the men are out of the playoffs, as they can still get in as an at-large bid.
