Reach Out and Read KC

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Reach Out and Read Kansas City wants to provide an opportunity for YOU to volunteer virtually! It is more important than ever for families, and especially young children to build healthy routines that provide comfort and a sense of order when so much in the world seems chaotic.

Join our #ReadTogetherKC challenge to help ease children’s anxieties from the pandemic. By making reading a daily activity, we help every child have the healthy foundation they need for success. Every Thursday at 12:30 p.m., we are posting an ROR-KC Virtual Storytime on all of our social media platforms. The Kansas City Center for Inclusion

The Kansas City Center for Inclusion’s mission is to provide safe, inclusive LGBTQIA+ community spaces where people can come for education, resources, and activities, as well as support a more cohesive LGBTQIA+ community in the greater Kansas City area. We are currently looking for volunteer ambassadors that can serve a four hour shift on a weekday in our physical space. We are also looking for volunteers that are passionate about grants/fundraising, teaching the community a new skill, or helping us with marketing/tech. For more information click here.
