Danny Alexander is taking part in Simon Fraser University Book Club discussion of The Meaning of Mariah Carey this Friday at 8 p.m.
On April 15th, Danny will be introducing Sarah Smarsh for her campus talk.
On April 30th to May 1st, May 6th–May 8th and May 14th and 15th, Danny  will be cohosting a Zoom conference called “Land of Hope and Dreams: A Celebration of Dave Marsh’s Work and Vision.” One of the creators of rock criticism, founding writer for Creem magazine, longtime editor for Rolling Stone and the author of 24 groundbreaking books on popular music (editor of many more), Marsh has been Danny’s mentor for over three decades, and Danny is part of a team working to honor his legacy.

Dr. Sayanti Ganguly Puckett to Present for College Scholar Series

Dr. Sayanti Ganguly Puckett, College Scholar, will present this Friday “Wayward Sons: The Babu’s Search for Self Outside of Tradition.” This lecture, based on Dr. Puckett’s archival research Calcutta, is featured as a CE EdTalk and will be recorded.

Cryer Accepted to the Rhetoric Society of America’s biennial Summer Institute

Dr. Dan Cryer was accepted to the Rhetoric Society of America’s biennial Summer Institute at the end of May, where senior scholars offer seminars and workshops on a variety of topics. Dr. Cryer will be attending (via Zoom) a 5-day seminar titled “Rhetoric in Dark Times” led by Ryan Skinnell and Patricia Roberts-Miller.
