RSVP today for our FREE regional teacher “meet up” workshop for KAEA members and friends! Tour the Adorned exhibition with an array of artwork by 76 artists! Join Karen Gerety Folk, Curator of Education, at 5PM and learn about the Nerman’s temporary exhibitions and create a sparkling mixed media photo frame. Then local artist & exhibition co-curator Boi Boy along with JCCC Fashion professors Joy Rhodes and Britt Benjamin will lecture at 6-7 p.m. in the museum’s auditorium. Finally, enjoy hors d’oeuvres and refreshments in the Museum Atrium, cash bar. LIMITED SPACE
See an array of 9 “new to view” artworks with 4 favorites from the Nerman Museum permanent collection, now on display in the lobby Kansas Focus Gallery.

The exhibition also includes 11 works on paper in the 2nd floor museum classroom cooridor and 6 additional artworks in the 2nd floor mezzanine.

RSVP for our regional teacher “meet up” workshop for KAEA members and friends! Tour the Charlotte Street Foundation Fellows – 2020 and Shinique Smith: STARGAZERS exhibitions. Join Karen Gerety Folk, Curator of Education, and learn about the temporary exhibitions and create a mixed media sculpture in a mini-gallery space using foam core. LIMITED SPACE. The three local CSF artists will lecture at 6:00-7 p.m. in the museum’s auditorium. Then for the closing reception, enjoy hors d’oeuvres and refreshments in the Museum Atrium, cash bar.

We are once again accepting applications for a new volunteer docent training group to begin February 2022! Welcome visitors to the museum and JCCC campus, experience our world-class contemporary art collection; lead tours for preK-12 field trips, college classes, and adults from the community.
Applications are due January 20 – we will conduct team interviews prior to initial meeting.
