Two JCCC math faculty were presenters at the spring 2012 meeting of KAMATYC, the Kansas Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges. They were:
- Christopher Imm, professor of mathematics, whose presentation was titled “Using Excel Spreadsheets to Explore and Visualize Mathematical Problems”
- Steven Wilson, professor of mathematics, whose presentation was titled “Do Your Students Understand Logarithms?”
The meeting was held Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Barton Community College in Great Bend, Kansas. About 30 Kansas two-year college math educators were in attendance.
Two JCCC math faculty are currently serving as officers of KAMATYC. Chris Imm is the treasurer, and Mary Deas, also professor of mathematics, is the secretary.
