Math Appreciation Week

April 16-20 is Math Appreciation Week this year.  Several activities are planned for the week.  Each day in the Math Resource Center, a drawing will be held for a Cav card, and old textbooks will be given away.

Monday is Tutor Appreciation Day.  Get to know the tutors in the Math Resource Center.

Tuesday there will be free popcorn in the Math Resource Center.

On Wednesday at 3:15 pm in CLB 211, Dr. Joel Potter, assistant professor of economics at North Georgia College and State University, and a JCCC alumnus, will give a presentation on “The Economics of Safety Regulation: Can Safer Cars Lead to More Accidents?”.

On Thursday, students will be able to view the movie “Moneyball”, which examines how statistics has changed major league baseball.
