Communicating in Teams
The many ways in which you can communicate with colleagues inside Teams can be confusing. We’ve created a few resources here to help you decide which is best. Note, this doesn’t include information about Outlook email – only those methods used in the Teams application.
Want to be sure someone sees something? @Mentions
When you want someone to be sure to see your message, just put an @ in the body of the text and pick who you want on the team. Teams will take care of the rest.

Other useful tips
- Teams is one platform where you can utilize chat, video conferencing, and screen sharing. We will add more information here if and when voice/phones is added.
- Teams Meetings can record meetings to make them easily accessible to people who can’t attend.
- Teams maintains a call log, including missed calls.
- Teams communication permits a voice message to be left when a call is missed,
and the message — with transcription — is attached to the log.
