The Cavaliers lost to their cross-town rivals on Oct. 12, falling 1-0 to the unranked Kansas City Kansas Blue Devils.This loss comes just after the Cavaliers jumped three spots in week seven’s NJCAA Division 1 poll, going from No. 14 to No. 11.
Although they created more chances to score, the Cavaliers had a sluggish start in the first half, allowing Kansas City Kansas to score with one second to go.
JCCC’s team was unable to convert any chances to score in the second half, even with three yellow (penalty) cards for the Blue Devils at the 72-, 87- and 88-minute marks.
The Cavaliers will play an away match against Dodge City Community College on Oct. 16 at 3 p.m. Their Oct. 22 home game against Crowder College has been canceled.
