Ferguson’s Fiber Art

Susan Ferguson, adjunct asst. professor of  English, is one of 13 Kansas City-area fiber artists whose weaving artwork is included in the “Fine Art/Fine Craft-New Work by the Kansas City Fiber Group” exhibition at Leedy-Voulkos Art Center through July 27, 2019. Ferguson’s works, “Business” and “Forest,” were created on a rigid heddle loom made possible by a 2018 Inspiration Grant from the ArtsKC Regional Arts Council. She is one of several fiber artists who will take part in the Artist Talk at the gallery on Saturday, June 15, at 1 p.m. Leedy-Voulkos is at 2012 Baltimore, in the Crossroads Art District in Kansas City, Mo.  A review of the exhibition is available online at the KC Studio website (kcstudio.org).
