Plagiarism – my policy explained

Do you know how to make rice?  Put 1 cup rice and 2 cups water together, bring to boil, reduce heat and cover for 20 minutes.  How much would you pay for that much rice in a restaurant?  It depends.  I’ve paid anywhere from a few cents to a couple dollars depending on what country, and how nice the restaurant is.

How much would you pay for a pot of rice that was cooked with a cat turd in it?  How much depends on how large the cat turd is?

That’s what plagiarism is like.  Once you find it, the whole batch/ text is tainted, and one’s reputation as a cook is forever suspect.

I won’t pay anything for rice with any amount of any animal crap in it.  Papers with plagiarism get no points.

If  I think someone did this on purpose – or repeatedly after being caught – it would be anyone’s obligation to alert authorities.
