Bookstore theft
On Tuesday, Jan. 27, a theft was reported in the campus bookstore. An employee said that she saw a textbook that was neither wrapped nor sealed, with the book’s insert missing. No other thefts were reported. The case is ongoing.
Stolen credit cards
Campus police were dispatched to the Carlsen Center after a report of a theft on Saturday, Jan. 31. The victim stated that his wallet fell out of his pocket, and when he went to retrieve it, it was gone. The victim said that two purchases were recorded on his credit card after he checked his bank statement. Police are looking into the matter.
Assault in the parking lot
A case of aggravated assault was reported on Wednesday, Feb. 4. The victim reported that his car was deliberately struck while he was attempting to park his vehicle. When the victim exited his vehicle, he saw the other driver holding a metal night stick. The victim reported the suspect and his vehicle to the officers, who located it and obtained the name of the suspect, who was arrested. The case is still being investigated.
