If exposed to the virus in your home it is important that you quarantine and go get tested. Currently JCCC offers testing as seen in the photo above. Pay attention if you are starting to show symptoms such as fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, body aches, headaches, loss of taste or smell, congestion, sore throat, nausea, etc.

When there is a COVID case in your home there are a few precautions to take from getting it first Isolate the infected individual in a room. If they need to come out of the room at any given time require, they wear personal protection equipment (PPE).

When notified of an exposure in your own home immediately wipe down any surface that the individual may have contact with. Do this every time the infected person may leave their isolation and make sure they are wiping down everything they may touch as well.

As well, to protect yourself you may want to wear a mask throughout any space that is not your own domain.

Avoid touching your face throughout the duration of quarantining this time as the virus is easily spread through touching your eyes, mouth, and nose.

Wash your hands consistently throughout the quarantine period to avoid contracting the virus. When leaving your room or any isolated area you may be in wash your hands when you get back.

When someone in your household has COVID-19 you will most likely have to help take care of them. It is important to make sure the infected individual has access to the things they need and do not have to come out except for emergencies. Leave items they may need outside of the door for them to come and get with proper PPE on.
