Beth Gulley gave a presentation titled “No Visa, No Problem: Kansas Composition Students’ Virtual Exchange Projects with Students in New Zealand” at TYCA National https://ncte.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/2023-TYCA-program.pdf.

Recently, a collection of short stories, art, and poems that Beth co-edited with Polly Alice McCann was published through Flying Ketchup Press. The collection is called Night Forest: Folk Poetry and Story. It is available as a print book, but it can also be found as an ebook here: https://fliphtml5.com/bgbtq/mkug.

Anthony Procopio Ross Publishes

Anthony Procopio Ross has published a poem in The Inflectionist Review, Issue 15, with another forthcoming in Passengers Journal. Two of his collages were also featured in Beaver Magazine, Issue 5.

Save the Date–February 27, 2023–Faculty Poetry Reading

We are delighted with the response to the call for readers at the JCCC English and Journalism Faculty poetry reading. We have reserved the CoLab on February 27 at 2:00 p.m. This event is open to students, staff, faculty, and the wider community. Please invite anyone you think might be interested. Snacks will be provided, and poets will have a chance to display their publications.

The poets on the list so far include: Danny Alexander, Michael Carriger, James Cooper, Beth Gulley, Marianne Kunkel, Michael Price, Thomas Reynolds, Anthony Procopio Ross, Matthew Schmeer, Bob Sykora, and Steven Werkmeister.
