When talk isn’t what one says but establishing dominance.

Funny thing, research says this happens regularly.  Men are supposed to be worse than women, but both genders use class discussions to establish dominance apart from meaningful communication.  But isn’t finding your place in a class relevant?

I practice a student centered model, which means students are responsible for most of the work. I sometimes wonder if my lack of “blah, blah blah” is interpreted as a power vacuum.  Are student centered classrooms more  prone to disruptions?
