Field Day is the most exciting day of the year for practically every elementary schooler nationwide, but as we grow up, the fun goes away. The Student Lounge is attempting to combat this through their event “Field Day Finale.”

On May 4, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Fountain Square, students will be able to participate in activities like dodge ball, tug of war, sack races and hamster balls, all while enjoying popsicles.

“Since we’re getting [close] to summer, we just thought it was great to get everybody outside [and] get the summer started feeling great with the weather,” Erick Santana, a staff member of the Student Lounge, said.

During the event, they hope to see 30 to 40 students out enjoying the fun.

“I think the idea was to have that nostalgic effect with some different things,” Mo Rammel, Coordinator of Student Life, said. “Come out and have fun for your last week of classes,” Rammel said.

This will be the last event the Student Lounge will be hosting for the semester. As Rammel said, go out and have fun, get those fun nostalgic vibes back, and enjoy your last week of school.
